About Jeffrey Barden
Jeff is the Founder and Managing Partner of Ascendence Consulting, based in New York.
A veteran Chief Strategy Officer, operating executive, and strategy consultant, Jeff has developed successful growth strategies and launched new businesses, led major turnarounds and restructurings, and implemented organizational, operational and regulatory change programs. He has experience in the financial services, industrial goods, pharmaceutical, and technology industries and an in-depth understanding of the commercial, functional, and operational aspects of banking.

Today, his primary focus is working with leadership teams to capitalize on their strengths, resolve strategic challenges, and realize lasting business success.
Jeff began his career as a U.S. Army officer and later joined the Boston Consulting Group with a focus on growth strategy and restructuring. He spent the next twenty years as a senior operating executive at global Fortune 500 companies including Saint-Gobain, J.P. Morgan Chase, and HSBC.
He earned his MBA with Highest Honors from the Questrom School of Management, Boston University and BA, Politics from Wake Forest University.
